Retired Grand Rapids Chief of Police joins DK Security as Senior Vice President. Chief Belk oversees the direct supervision of the company’s Investigations, Armed Division, and Special Operations.

In 2014, DK Security expanded to the east side of the state after being awarded the State of Michigan contract for Cadillac Place in Detroit. Many state government officials have offices in Cadillac Place, including the governor.
DK Security completes the expansion of their Grand Rapids, Michigan headquarters. This included a garage to house the DK mobile command unit and DK Security Vehicles.

2012 began with a new contract from the State of Michigan to protect 6 National Guard and Air National Guard bases.
DK Security won it’s first Federal contract in 2010, providing security for the Soo Locks in Sault Ste. Marie Michigan. Nearly 7,000 vessels travel through these locks on a yearly basis.
DK Security was hired to provide security for the Kalamazoo River Oil spill in 2010. A six-foot break in the pipeline resulted in the largest inland oil spill, and one of the costliest spills in U.S. history.
DuHadway, Kendall, and Associates acquired Joseph A. Young & Associates in Lansing in 2009. This acquisition included adding 150 employees and impressive contracts including Capital Region International Airport and the Lansing Lugnuts.
