The DK chatter was initiated in early 2015, and with each edition we have evolved.  We are blessed at DK Security with a wonderful family and we want to acknowledge our family. Please take the time to scroll each newsletter and read not only about DK news and reminders, but also our fellow DK officers and staff who are celebrating accomplishments, expanding their families, and experiencing both joy and sadness. Thank you for being a part of our family!

Hello Team,
We have had a very busy summer as you know, with Common Ground Music Festival, Picnic Pops, Summer Concerts at Meijer Garden, a plethora of concerts at Van Andel Arena and many temp assignments.  Thank you all for stepping up and helping out!   Summer is winding down and students are getting ready to go back to school, hard to believe it’s almost Fall! Many of you are students yourself, we wish you the best as you start another year of your education.
We’ve also been consumed with getting one of our newest clients, the Soo Locks in Sault Ste. Marie, up and running. It’s an amazing site to see up there.  Recently, I was able to visit along with others to help with the transition. While there, we met with our Project Manager, Site Supervisors and other key personnel. They are very dedicated employees and have been such an asset to DK Security.  It was very impressive for me to see and very exciting for DK Security.  If you have never been to the Soo, I highly recommend a visit.

Brigid Klodzinski
Executive Assistant / Investigations Manager

outstanding performers

This month we recognized two Outstanding Performers from the Gerald R. Ford International Airport with a luncheon in their honor. We had the pleasure of hosting Cheif Dave Wills and Sgt. Paul Beauchamp from the airport. We appreciate the support these gentlemen showed in recognizing our “Outstanding” recipients.

Jason Miller
Mr. Jason Miller was recognized on August 4, 2016 as an DK Outstanding Performer. Mr. Miller joined the DK team in January of this year as a part-time Security Officer, and has already made quite an impact on our client. Mr. Miller has been praised for his ethics and integrity.. He was recently recognized by the airport for providing great customer service along the airport curb and his honesty. Mr. Miller received a monetary tip from an airport patron for the help he provided, and he turned it in to the airport office, as he knows he can not accept tips.  Our client was pleased to tell us that they receive very few complaints and many compliments about our security team at the airport. Thank you Jason for your outstanding performance. We are proud to have you represent DK Security!
June Ellison
Ms. June Ellison was also recognized at our August luncheon, of which she was unable to attend as she was caring for a sick neighbor. This speaks to Ms. Ellison’s character which is exactly why she was honored as an outstanding performer. Ms. Ellison has been with DK Security since March of 2014 working as a part-time Security Officer at the Gerald R. Ford International Airport. She was nominated by her supervisor for her work ethic and dedication. Willing to forego her only off weekend to pick up an extra shift when needed. June has been quoted saying, “I have the best job in the world.” June, we think we have the “best employees in the world” and we are grateful that you are one of them. Thank you for all you do!
