Live Scan Fingerprinting Services from DK Security
Fingerprinting is the process of capturing your fingerprints and submitting them through Michigan and federal background screening systems, including the FBI’s Integrated Automated Fingerprint Identification System (IAFIS).

Guidelines and Requirements
DK Security’s fingerprinting services are available by appointment only. All customers must be at least 18 years old and provide a current LiveScan RI-030 (10/2020) form from the requesting agency. Section 1, Boxes 1–3 completed, or a CPL Application Receipt for CPL fingerprinting services. CPL applicants must also present a valid driver’s license. A current valid federal or state-issued photo ID is required for all fingerprinting appointments.

In-person Live Scan fingerprinting typically takes about 10-20 minutes to complete. Once the digital fingerprints are submitted to the State of Michigan and the FBI, results are usually returned to the requester by email within 24 to 48 hours.
DK Security offers Live Scan fingerprinting services at our Grand Rapids, Lansing, and Detroit corporate offices.
Each Live Scan costs $65. Cash, checks, and all major credit and debit cards are accepted. If paying with cash, please bring the exact amount, as DK Security cannot make change.
Live Scan fingerprinting is one part of the screening process and not a complete background check. It verifies identity and can return criminal history information, but it does not provide a full record of every offense or a comprehensive personal history.
