DK Expands Security With AI Deployment
April 8, 2025
Since partnering with Robotic Assistance Devices (RAD) in 2023, DK Security has been integrating AI-driven solutions to enhance security services across Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana. Now, we’re taking another step forward.
Expanding AI Security: ROSA at Grand River Aseptic Manufacturing (GRAM)
Last year, we launched an AI surveillance pilot program at Grand River Aseptic Manufacturing (GRAM) in Grand Rapids, MI. ROSA (Responsive Observation Security Agent), a mounted security robot, improving safety in a traditionally vulnerable area.
ROSA’s capabilities include:
- 180° monitoring to deter trespassers
- Autonomous two-way communication for remote interactions
- Real-time alerts without needing a security officer on-site
“After an introduction to ROSA’s capabilities, we thought it would be ideally placed at a facility located outside our normal network/security systems range that has been a traditional trouble spot. This has proven to be an effective deterrent and provides real-time alerts, as well as the ability to interact with individuals without our security officers having to physically go to the location.”
– Ross Vander Klok, Security Manager, Grand River Aseptic Manufacturing
Merging AI With Human Expertise
While human personnel remain at the heart of what we do at DK Security, the integration of AI-driven devices like ROSA marks a pivotal step forward. This hybrid approach allows us to blend the strengths of technology with the expertise of our guards, creating a more robust and responsive security solutions.
See ROSA in Action
DK Security has now deployed ROSA at our Grand Rapids headquarters and is eager to demonstrate its potential. Although we are still in the early stages of deployment, ROSA and other RAD devices are already transforming how we manage security.
