Kapow! Joining Forces with the League of Enchantment

October 30, 2021

Last summer, DK Security had the opportunity to meet with Shamus Smith and Katie Whittaker from the League of Enchantment. This non-profit organization is a volunteer cosplay group that operates across the state of Michigan. Members dress up in movie-quality superhero costumes and visit children in hospitals and participate in community events.

Whether the members are visiting a hospital, a Make-A-Wish event, a community gathering, their goal is to bring hope and smiles to the kids they interact with. Sometimes all it takes is a smile, hug, or a brief conversation to make a difference in a child’s life.

DK Security has been proud to be the League of Enchantment’s Corporate Sponsor for over a year now. While the superheroes try to keep our community safe, so do our security officers! It was a natural fit for our two organizations to join forces. Last week, the League of Enchantment visited our Grand Rapids headquarters. Check out the photos below!
