DK Security Leader Among Region’s 200 Most Influential

November 12, 2024

Crain’s Grand Rapids Business has announced the 200 Most Influential Leaders in West Michigan for 2024. Our congratulations go out to all this year’s honorees, including DK Security’s President, Sindia Narber.

Reading time: 1 minute

Crain’s is continuing the tradition set by the former Grand Rapids Business Journal’s “Grand Rapids 200” of annually compiling and sharing some of the most familiar names in West Michigan. Now in its second year, the Crain’s Grand Rapids 200 is the region’s leading journalist-selected group of C-suite leaders, directors and executives who wield the most influence in our boardrooms and communities.

Between Crain’s and its predecessor, this marks the fourth consecutive year Sindia has featured among West Michigan’s 200 Most Influential Leaders since her appointment as CEO in 2021. We’re honored to have Sindia consistently acknowledged for her leadership alongside some of the most notable names in and around Grand Rapids.

In the list’s official release, Crain’s editor Joe Boomgaard explained that rather than receiving nominations, “the Crain’s Grand Rapids Business team of journalists selected these 200 executives based solely on [the team’s] sense of news judgement.”

As a member of DK’s Grand Rapids corporate team since 2003, Sindia has been instrumental in DK becoming Michigan’s largest locally operated security provider and one of the 50 largest in the United States. Additionally, she sits on the board of Silent Observer and maintains membership in several other professional organizations.

Each of the 2024 Crain’s Grand Rapids 200 answered a short list of questions for Crain’s that “might provide some insight into their leadership philosophy and worldview,” per Boomgaard. Here’s what our President had to say on “the best advice [she’s] received over the course of [her] career”:

“I’ve learned to never make a critical decision when high emotions are in play. Take some time to listen and contemplate, then make the decision based on facts. Also, be nice!”

– Sindia Narber, President, DK Security

Congratulations to Sindia Narber and the other honorees on their feature in this year’s Crain’s Grand Rapids 200. To read more about our President’s influence and explore the rest of the 200, get your digital or print copy here.
