What Is Event Security?
As event security professionals, our top priority is always the safety at an event for all attendees, presenters, staff, and the venue itself. Before each event, we work closely with you to gather and understand all relevant information about your venue layout, event schedule, expected attendance, and VIPs or other high-level guests. Access Control
Authorized access and the prevention of contraband are cornerstones in ensuring a safe environment at your next event. A solid first line of defense protects attendees, staff, performers, and the venue itself for gatherings of all kinds. We implement access control with bag searches, metal detection, pat downs, credential checks, and more.
Event Hospitality
Employees of DK Security are trained to professionally represent all venues and clients, performing what we call “hospitality security.” We aim to provide helpful assistance to guests and be a positive, friendly face to everyone we meet — whether they are in need of directions to restrooms or an emergency response. Exceptional customer service is equally as important to us as executing proper security protocols.
If and when an emergency situation arises, event staff members calmly assess the situation and provide a response. Our staff communicate via two-way radio and are equipped to call in medical professionals, additional staff, and follow-up on questions if the answer is not readily available. If an emergency requires the evacuation of the venue, DK guards provide clear direction towards the nearest usable exits and assist any less-abled individuals with safely exiting the area.
Crowd Control
In emergencies and other unexpected situations, event security helps maintain control over the unpredictable. Event security guards are trained in maintaining control and maintaining the safety of all guests during times of distress.
Crowd control is also a standard duty we fill during instances of high traffic volume, like venue openings and post-concert exits. When a large number of attendees are moving together at the same time, proper crowd flow is crucial and always a preparation made by DK event staff teams. At larger events where law enforcement agencies are also present for crowd control measures, our team works hand-in-hand with the authorities for seamless, safe crowd movement.
Crime is less likely to occur when security guards are present, even at crowded events. Simply having event staff circulating the premises drastically reduces the likelihood of inappropriate or even criminal behavior taking place. Political events as well as those that involve alcohol especially benefit from security guards as a deterrent to crime.
VIP Security and Protection
When high-profile figures are performing or presenting at your event, DK event security guards receive specialized training to escort and protect these individuals from arrival to showtime and departure.
Dedicated personnel are assigned to accompany VIPs during transport between secure areas, perform elevated access control backstage, and monitor public performances for any disturbances. Parking Services
Security for event parking keeps attendees safe before and after an event, and prevents property crimes from occurring. DK event staff provide a visible presence in lots and parking structures to deter threats like theft, break-ins, and assaults.
DK event staff take their event stewardship beyond the venue when it involves parking, too. They guide post-event traffic flow, assist attendees with lockouts and dead batteries, and may even escort attendees to their vehicles upon request.
Armed Security Services
Should an escalated visual deterrent become necessary for your event, armed event security guards are also available to address your unique event concerns. For certain high-profile or sensitive events, armed staff may assist with crowd control and responding to elevated risks or threats. Specially trained and licensed armed guards may be deployed at your event after a careful assessment of the situation between our leadership team and yours.
